Setup Quick Launch Button

The Brain Box can launch any application using the red ‘Launch’ button which sends the Ctrl+Alt+C combination of keys. You can create a Windows shortcut to the application you would like to launch and assign Ctrl+Alt+C as the Shortcut Keys for the shortcut.

To create a shortcut navigate to the folder that contain the application you want to create the shortcut for and right click on it.

Once the Windows shortcut has been created on your Desktop, right click on it and select ‘Properties’, enter Ctrl+Alt+C as the ‘Shortcut key’. Press ‘OK’ to save the changes. You should now be able to launch your selected application by pressing the red ‘Launch’ button on the Brain Box.

Setup MLM2Pro with Quick Launch

You can download the latest release of the connector from here.

If you have any issues installing, setting it up, or any other issues please reach out to me at info@cascadia3dpd.com

It is possible to configure the MLM2Pro connector so that when the red ‘Launch’ button on the Brain Box is pressed, the connector is started which can then launch GSPro, mirror application, and putting application. Additionally it will automatically select the device you want to start by default, connect to the putting app as well as GSPro. You can then simply select what you want to play on GSPro and you are away, all done with a single press of a button. For ExPutt users you will still need to turn the unit on and set it up before starting play.

Create a Windows shortcut to the MLM2Pro GSPro connector application file ‘MLM2Pro-GSPro-Connector.exe’, assign the Ctrl+Alt+C key combination as the shortcut key. Then start the connector and open the ‘Settings’ form.

GSPro

GSPPro Application Path: Specify the location of the GSPro application in the ‘GSPPro Application Path’ field, this can either be the GSPLauncher.exe or GSPro.exe in the \Core\GSP\ subdirectory. The connector will auto launch GSPro once this field is set.

Default Device: For the auto launch feature to be activated a ‘Default Device’ needs to be selected, select one of the devices from your list that you want to use when the ‘Launch’ button is pressed on the Brain Box. Please note, if no default device is specified the connector will not try and automatically launch all applications and connect to them.

Save your settings.

Default Device

For the ‘Default Device’ you nominated you need to specify the location of your mirror application so that the connector can auto start & connect to it.

Mirror App Path: Use the Browse button and locate the correct file to start your selected mirror application. Please note: for Windows Store Apps such as AirPlay, Windows has security policies that will not allow the Connector to start the application. To overcome this you can follow the following steps to create a shortcut link which the Connector can then run:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
    Type shell:AppsFolder and click OK.
This will open the Applications Folder.
In the Folder, find the App you want to create the Shortcut for.
    Right-click on the App Icon.
    Select the Create shortcut Option.
Select ‘Yes’ to create the shortcut on the Desktop\
  2. Go to your Desktop, right-click on the new shortcut, select the ‘General’ tab and check the ‘Location’, will be something like C:\Users\xxx\Desktop were xxx is your user name.
  3. Open file explorer and navigate to the ‘Location’ folder
  4. Copy the name of the shortcut and append the ‘Location’ folder, e.g. C:\Users\xxx\Desktop\AirPlay – Shortcut.lnk
Putting

If you want to auto launch your putting app make sure to the ‘Auto start…’ field.

You are all set, now when you press the red ‘Launch’ button everything will be auto started and connected.

Once everything launches and the connector has connected to everything you will need to mirror your device as normal and if using ExPutt start and set it up.

Battery Charge Status

Update 11 August 2025: We have been informed by the supplier of our PCB that this no longer works with the latest Windows releases, so currently there is no way to check the battery level. Once full charged it should last for many months.

The Brain Box board reports battery level to the host system via Bluetooth.

From the Bluetooth menu, select ‘Show Bluetooth Devices’

What makes Brain Box different to all the other control boxes on the market?

There are a number of key differences when compared to other control boxes on the market which makes the Brain Box unique and sets it apart from the competition:

Quick Launch Button: This button can be used to launch all the software required for your sim session. Sometimes it can be complicated, and time consuming to setup and launch all the required software components required for your sim session. For family members it can be overwhelming, now with the Quick Launch Button all they need to do is press a single button to automatically launch all the components and connect to them.

18 GSPro Function Buttons: The Brain Box offers an unprecedented and unmatched 18 GSPro functions including the following primary functions Mulligan, Club Up, Club Down, Putter, Heat Map, Shot Cam, Hide Objects, Fast Forward, Flyover. There are an additional 9 functions available when the buttons are pressed in conjunction with the ‘Shift’ button. The secondary functions are Scorecard, Pin Indicator, Fly to Ball, Green Grid, Clear Tracer, Aim Point, Hide UI, Sound Off, Sound On.

Joystick: Not only does it offer 18 function buttons but uses a Joystick for aiming left, right, up, and down.

Long Battery Life: no need to constantly charge the Brain Box as it will last for weeks and even months on a single charge.

Stays awake & connected:  unlike other Bluetooth control boxes that go to sleep after a few minutes of nonuse to try and conserve battery life, the Brain Box will stay connected until the PC is shutdown or restarted. This prevents you losing connection mid game because you’ve not used it for a few minutes.

Golfleaf Buttons: It uses high quality buttons using a leaf switch for instant response, smooth, and quiet operation as there is no clicking micro-switch.

Price: the Brain Box is one of the least expensive wireless control boxes on the market despite being packed with a ton of features not seen in other control boxes.
